
Muscat: As part of its ongoing commitment to public health and food safety, the Health Inspection Department at Dhofar Municipality carried out a series of field visits throughout October. These inspections were conducted during both morning and evening shifts and targeted bakeries, restaurants, the central market, and various other food-related establishments across the city of Salalah.
During October, Dhofar Municipality’s health inspection team conducted a total of 835 field visits targeting various food-related establishments. These inspections resulted in 123 recorded violations, 52 warnings issued, and 34 closures enforced, reflecting the municipality’s commitment to ensuring public health and food safety across Salalah.
Legal action was taken against establishments found in violation of health regulations. The municipality emphasized the importance of adhering to health standards to safeguard community well-being and ensure the quality of food services.
