A’Suwaiq: A delegation from the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) visited Hind Bint Omar Basic Education School in the Wilayat of A’Suwaiq, one of the schools in the North Al Batinah Governorate Directorate of Education. The visit was part of implementing the pilot phase of the "Stories on Sustainable Development" project being applied by the organization.
The visit aimed to learn about the school's efforts in spreading awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals among students through educational stories and purposeful educational activities that foster environmental and social awareness and support sustainable development practices in the school environment.
During their tour, the delegation reviewed a number of educational activities provided to the students, along with a student exhibition featuring examples of the students' work in various scientific, educational, and professional fields. The students also presented performances and artistic and cultural talents reflecting Omani identity and national heritage.
At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation’s members lauded the school's excellence in activating sustainable development concepts through education and practical application.
This enhances the students' skills in creative thinking and teamwork and aligns with the aspirations of Oman Vision 2040 towards building a generation conscious of environmental and sustainable development issues.
