
Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Tuesday issued two Royal decrees, reading as follows:
Royal Decree No. (84/2026) on appointing non-resident ambassador.
Article (1) appoints Sayyid Yarub bin Qahtan bin Nasser Al Busaidi, the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, as Oman’s non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan.
Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
Royal Decree No. (85/2026) on ratifying the International Cooperation Agreement signed in Geneva on 19 May 2026 between the Ministry of Education in the Sultanate of Oman and the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) concerning scientific and technical cooperation in the field of high-energy physics.
Article (1) ratifies the aforesaid agreement in accordance with the version attached to this decree.
Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and take effect from its date of issue.
