Met department forecasts isolated thunderstorms across Oman

Muscat: Several parts of the Sultanate of Oman are expected to witness isolated thunderstorms on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, according to the latest weather update from Oman Meteorology. 

According to Oman Meteorology, there is a chance of cumulonimbus cloud formation and scattered thunderstorms accompanied by active downdrafts over the Al Hajar Mountains and surrounding areas. 

Oman Meteorology added :"Cloud formation and thickening are also possible along the coasts of Dhofar Governorate and the adjacent mountains, with a chance of drizzle and rain."
