Baba Sehgal to bring his iconic rap and comedy act to Muscat

MUSCAT – Indian rapper and entertainer Baba Sehgal, one of the pioneers of mainstream Indian rap, is set to perform live in Muscat on October 29, 2026, promising an evening of music, nostalgia and comedy for fans in Oman.

The performance will be held at the Sheraton Oman Hotel in Muscat and will feature Baba Sehgal’s distinctive blend of rap, humour and entertainment.

Known for helping bring rap music into India’s mainstream popular culture, Baba Sehgal rose to prominence in the 1990s with songs that combined catchy Hindi lyrics, rap and humour.

Over the years, he has built a distinctive identity as a rapper, songwriter, television personality and entertainer.

His Muscat show is expected to appeal to audiences who grew up listening to his early hits, as well as a younger generation familiar with his humorous and unconventional musical style.

Organised by NHP EVENTS, the event is supported by Sheraton Oman Hotel as the Hospitality Partner, Nexus Novel Advertising, Al Hashar Pharmacy and Times of Oman as the Media Partner.
Tickets are currently available at https://events.nhpoman.com/ from OMR 7.5 per person including one beverage.

The event is expected to bring together members of the Indian expatriate community and music lovers from across Oman.

Baba Sehgal has remained a recognisable figure in Indian popular culture for decades, often combining music with satire and social commentary. His playful approach to rap helped introduce the genre to a much wider Indian audience at a time when it was still relatively new to the mainstream music scene.

The Muscat performance will give fans an opportunity to experience his signature stage act live, with the evening expected to feature some of his popular numbers along with his trademark comic presentation.

The event comes as Muscat continues to attract Indian artistes and entertainment shows, catering to the city’s large and diverse expatriate community.
