Oman wins 11 awards in GCC Smart Investor Award

The Sultanate of Oman won 11 awards in the fourth season of the GCC Smart Investor Award, organised by the securities market regulators of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, during the award’s closing ceremony held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The fourth season attracted major participation, with over 300,000 entries from across the GCC countries. The competition featured four main categories: writing, photography, drawing and video production, targeting three groups: school students, university students and individuals.

Oman’s participants secured 11 awards across the various categories and groups. In the writing category, the Sultanate of Oman won four places. Rawdh Al Farsi secured first place in the school students group, while Duja Al Maani placed third in the university students group. Sara Al Kalbani and Sajia Al Ismaili secured first and second places, respectively, in the individuals group.

In the photography category, Tasneem Al Sabahi secured first place and Al Yaqeen Al Salimi third place in the school students group. Mawaddah Al Salmani won first place in the university students group, while Alia Al Abri secured first place in the individuals group.

In the drawing category, Maria Al Sudairi secured first place in the university students group.

In the video category, Salim Al Yaqoubi secured first place, while Zuha Al Masoudi placed fourth in the school students group.

The GCC Smart Investor Award forms part of GCC initiatives aimed at promoting financial and investment awareness and literacy. It seeks to encourage creative talents and young people to produce innovative works and content that help simplify financial and investment concepts and promote sound investment practices.

Oman’s participation in the fourth season and the results achieved by its winners reflect the creativity and excellence of Omani talent, as well as its presence in GCC initiatives aimed at enhancing financial and investment literacy among different segments of society.
