Oman, Tajikistan hold third round of political consultations in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Tajikistan held the third session of political consultations in Dushanbe, reviewing bilateral cooperation and exploring ways to expand relations across economic, investment, trade, scientific and cultural fields.

The Omani delegation was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, while the Tajik side was led by Sharifzoda Farrukh Homiddin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The discussions focused on strengthening joint investments and trade exchange, with both sides seeking to develop cooperation in areas that serve the interests of the two countries and their peoples.

The officials also exchanged views on a number of regional and international developments of mutual interest.

On the sidelines of the consultations, Al Harthy met Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin and conveyed the greetings of Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.

Muhriddin stressed the importance of continuing mutual visits and meetings between officials at various levels, saying such exchanges would contribute to further strengthening relations between Oman and Tajikistan.

The consultations were attended by Zubaydullo Zubaydov, Tajikistan's Ambassador to Oman, along with officials from the foreign ministries of both countries.
