Salalah: The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) carried out a medical evacuation operation in Dhofar Governorate involving a crew member aboard a passing merchant vessel.
The crew member suffered a medical emergency while the ship was sailing off the coast of Dhofar, prompting the evacuation operation.
He was airlifted from the merchant ship to Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah, where he was transferred for necessary medical treatment.
The operation highlights the Royal Air Force of Oman’s role in providing emergency medical assistance and responding to humanitarian situations at sea.
