
Muscat : The number of flights arriving at Salalah Airport during the period from June 21 to July 31, 2026, increased to 1,758, compared to 1,637 flights during the same period last year, representing a 7 percent increase.
Data from Oman Airports showed that the number of passengers arriving at the airport during the same period reached 154,529, compared to 142,488 passengers during the same period in 2025, registering an increase of 12,041 passengers, or a growth rate of approximately 8 percent .
This growth in flight and passenger traffic coincides with the Khareef Dhofar season of 2026, which witnesses a growing influx of visitors from within the Sultanate of Oman and abroad, who come to enjoy the autumnal weather that characterizes the Dhofar Governorate during this period.
Salalah Airport is considered one of the vital facilities supporting tourism in the Dhofar Governorate, which experiences a surge in the number of visitors and travel during the Khareef season.
