23 crew of merchant vessel GFS GALAXY rescued

Muscat: 23 crew members of the merchant vessel GFS GALAXY, flying the flag of the Republic of Cyprus, after it encountered an incident 4.4 nautical miles off the coast of Musandam Governorate. The search operations are ongoing for one crew member who is still missing, Ministry of Defense (MoD), said. 

The Maritime Security Center reports that authorities responded to a distress call from the merchant vessel GFS GALAXY, flying the flag of the Republic of Cyprus, after it encountered an incident 4.4 nautical miles off the coast of Musandam Governorate. Authorities rescued 23 crew members and provided them with necessary medical care. Search operations are ongoing for one crew member who remains missing.
