Expat workers caught repackaging expired animal feed in Barka

Barka: The Consumer Protection Department in South Al Batinah Governorate has apprehended a group of expatriate workers for repackaging expired animal feed into new bags bearing falsified expiry dates in an attempt to deceive consumers.

The violation was uncovered following a report submitted by a consumer. Authorities seized the products, imposed a financial penalty on the offenders, and ordered the destruction of the confiscated items.

The workers were found to be in violation of Article (7) of the Consumer Protection Law, issued under Royal Decree No. 66/2014.
