
Sohar --- Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, today reviewed the developmental media and government communication system in North Al Batinah Governorate.
This took place during a meeting held today at the office of the Governor of North Al Batinah, in the presence of Mohammed Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah.
The Minister of Information emphasized the importance of the meeting in closely examining the reality of development in North Al Batinah Governorate. He pointed out that the media serves as a window reflecting the efforts exerted across various sectors, enabling the community to follow up on the implemented developmental and service projects, which enhances societal awareness and highlights development achievements.
He explained that the media undertakes a pivotal role in supporting the governorates to achieve their developmental goals and contributing to reaching the targets of Oman Vision 2040. He praised the media efforts in North Al Batinah Governorate, which is considered a prominent model in media work, contributing to highlighting its developmental achievements and supporting the Ministry of Information's efforts in achieving its goals and media mission.
For his part, Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, pointed out the importance of this meeting in shedding light on the qualitative components and advantages enjoyed by the governorate that deserve further media coverage, thereby contributing to highlighting them and enhancing their presence within the community.
The meeting also discussed the current state of news platforms and networks operating in North Al Batinah Governorate, along with the most prominent challenges facing the media sector. Additionally, it addressed the efforts exerted to develop the sector and enhance its role in supporting the march of development and highlighting the national achievements and gains in the governorate.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Saud bin Mohammed Al Hinai, Wali of Sohar, and a number of officials in the governorate.
