Muscat: According to the Ministry of Labour (MoL), it has been decided that Thursday, 18 June 2026, will be an official holiday for employees of the public and private sectors on the occasion of the Islamic New Year 1448 AH in the Sultanate of Oman.
In a statement, the Ministry of Labour said, "Based on the announcement issued on 28 December 2025 regarding the dates of national and religious holidays for the year 2026, the Ministry of Labour would like to announce that next Thursday, 18 June, will be the Hijri New Year holiday for the year 1448 AH."
