Five arrested in Oman for illegal entry, drug smuggling attempt

Muscat: The Dhofar Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Coast Guard Police, has arrested five individuals who were attempting to enter the Sultanate of Oman illegally.

The suspects were apprehended while trying to smuggle quantities of narcotic substances into the country aboard a fishing boat with the intent to traffic the drugs.

Authorities confirmed that legal procedures are being completed against the accused.

The Royal Oman Police reiterated its commitment to combating illegal infiltration and drug trafficking, emphasizing ongoing efforts to safeguard the country's borders and maintain public security.
