Khasab: The Municipal Council of Musandam Governorate on Sunday held its 6th meeting in 2026. The meeting was chaired by Sayyid Faisal bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Musandam Governorate.
The Municipal Council discussed a proposal to develop the old market in Khasab (Al Hala market) and animal feed prices in the governorate
The council exchanged views about three projects: A project to develop the Wilayat of Bukha in a manner that enhances its status as an urban centre, a project to develop Al Mazari Area (the farms) in the Wilayat of Mad’ha and a project to dualise the "Quroon Assayd-Khub Al Shamsi" carriageway in the Wilayat of Daba.
The meeting also discussed proposals to solve the problem of traffic jams caused by trucks in the Wilayat of Khasab. It also looked into a request to repair sun sheds on Qadi Beach as an extension of tourism facilities
At the conclusion of its meeting, the Municipal Council stressed the importance of following up public issues and respond to recommendations to support sustainable development efforts and meet the aspirations of the citizens.
