Five Asian nationals held for human trafficking

Muscat: Five Asian individuals were arrested by the Directorate General for Inquiries and Criminal Investigations, in coordination with the Special Tasks Police Unit of Al Qurom, for their involvement in human trafficking.

The suspects allegedly lured a woman of the same nationality into forced labor and deprived her of her personal liberty and identification documents.

At the same location, fifteen Asian women were also arrested for violating labor and expatriate residency laws.

Legal proceedings are being completed against them.
