Muscat: The Municipal Council of Governorate of Muscat on Sunday held its 10th meeting in 2025 under the auspices of Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, Chairman of the Municipal Council. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of Muscat Municipality.
The meeting dealt with “Muscat Nights 2026” as an added value to the urban and economic environment and as a programme that enhances the governorate’s approaches towards promoting tourism and cultural activity, generating developmental and optimising the use of public spaces in the governorate.
“Muscat Nights 2026”, scheduled to take place from 1 to 31 January, will be held in key locations in the Governorate of Muscat. The festival will comprise a wide range of innovative events.
The programme features cultural, social and interactive activities that respond to the aspirations of the public, enrich the experiences of visitors and investors and stimulate economic activities in a manner that offers opportunities for small and medium enterprises and enhances Muscat Governorate’s position as a leading destination for national events.
The meeting touched on means of streamlining business procedures and raising the efficiency of the regulatory system towards building a more flexible and competitive economy.
