Coronavirus: Government quashes rumour on death of expat

Muscat: The Government Communication Centre (GC), has denied a rumour being circulated in social media about the death of an expatriate worker from COVID-19.

A statement issued online by the GC said: "There is no truth in what is being circulated in social media about the death of an expatriate worker as a result of a coronavirus infection."

"We call upon everyone to abide by the rules and decisions in order to avoid any legal accountability that may arise from such violations," the statement added.
