
Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman's real gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 2.4 percent, rising from 1.6 percent in 2024, supported by solid performance across both the oil and non-oil sectors, according to the Central Bank of Oman (CBO).
The Central Bank of Oman, in its 2025 Annual Report, indicates the following:
- Total assets of the Omani banking sector increased by 9.2 percent to reach OMR 44.6 billion by the end of December 2025
- Oman's real GDP growth is expected to accelerate to 4 percent in 2026, with surpluses in both the fiscal balance and the current account balance of approximately 2.5 percent and 4.1 percent, respectively.
