Muscat: International Information Technology Co. LLC (IITC), one of Oman’s most established system integrators, and SunTec Business Solutions, a leading global provider of digital compliance solutions and e-invoicing products, today announced a strategic alliance to help businesses and organizations across the Sultanate of Oman prepare for the implementation of the e-invoicing system, scheduled to launch in August 2026, following the alliance’s approval as an accredited service provider by the Oman Tax Authority. Under the alliance, SunTec and IITC will collaborate to deliver an accredited access point that serves as a secure gateway for compliant e-invoice exchange within Oman’s Fawtara ecosystem.
The collaboration brings together SunTec’s SunTec Xelerate e-Invoicing product and its tax and regulatory compliance expertise with International Information Technology Co. LLC (IITC), a subsidiary of Oman International Holding (OHI), specializing in providing government and enterprise IT solutions and services. Together, the companies will help organizations achieve compliance with evolving e-invoicing regulations while advancing their broader digital transformation goals through a secure, scalable, and future-ready invoicing solution.
Oman’s e-invoicing program, Fawtara, is set to introduce a Peppol-based five-corner CTC framework to modernize tax compliance, enabling the electronic exchange of invoices with direct oversight by the tax authorities. The phased rollout will begin in August 2026 and expand to all VAT-registered businesses by 2028.
“e-Invoicing is rapidly becoming a cornerstone of the digital economy, driving transparency, efficiency, and compliance. SunTec has supported major compliance transformations across the GCC and partnered with more than 45 banks globally, including nine banks in Oman as part of their VAT compliance transformation initiative. Together with IITC, we are well positioned to help organizations embrace the Fawtara mandate and turn compliance into a catalyst for long-term digital transformation,” said Amit Dua, President, SunTec Business Solutions.
“e-Invoicing is not just a regulatory milestone — it is an investment in the financial infrastructure of our clients and the broader Omani economy. As CFO of OHI Group, I see this alliance with SunTec as a natural extension of our commitment to building businesses that are compliant, efficient, and positioned for sustainable growth. We are proud that IITC is at the forefront of this transformation,” said Praveen Kumar, CFO, OHI Group.
“We are pleased to partner with SunTec to support businesses and organizations in the Sultanate of Oman as they transition to e-invoicing through the Fawtara program. By combining IITC’s deep local IT solutions and services expertise and customer-engagement experience with SunTec’s advanced technology capabilities, we are enabling businesses to adopt a reliable and compliant digital billing framework. At IITC, we strongly believe in the transformative impact of FinTech in Oman, and this initiative is a key step toward accelerating financial digitization, enhancing transparency, and supporting the Sultanate’s broader digital transformation ambitions,” said Parag Gurumukhi, General Manager of IITC.
