
Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), represented by the Franchise Centre, will launch the fifth edition of the Franchise Programme on Sunday, 21 June 2026, under the patronage of Dr Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, Minister of Economy, and in the presence of Sheikh Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors; Eng. Hamoud bin Salem Al Saadi, Second Deputy Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and Chairman of the Franchise Centre Committee and others at JW Marriott Muscat.
The ceremony will witness the signing of a number of franchise agreements, as well as the signing of memoranda of understanding to provide facilities and services for Omani brands.
The programme comes within the framework of the Chamber’s strategic directions aimed at improving the business environment, expanding the base of economic diversification, and partnering in the economic development of the governorates, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
Eng. Hamoud Al Saadi explained that the programme aims to promote and disseminate the concept of franchising among business owners in Oman, support Omani brands with expansion potential, enhance investment opportunities and commercial partnerships, and enable small and medium enterprises to grow and expand into regional and international markets.
He pointed out that franchising is one of the modern tools that contributes to strengthening entrepreneurship and increasing the added value of the national economy, in addition to its role in creating new investment opportunities that contribute to generating employment opportunities.
Heaffirmed that the previous four editions of the programme had demonstrated their success in qualifying a number of Omani brands and enabling them to transition from the traditional operating stage to expansion through the franchise model, thereby strengthening their presence in the local market and opening prospects for some of them to expand beyond the Sultanate of Oman. This reflects the promising potential of Omani enterprises and their ability to evolve into regional and international success stories.
