Real estate trading value in Oman rises by 18.4% to top OMR678mn

Muscat: The total real estate trading value in the Sultanate of Oman at the end of March 2026 recorded an increase of 18.4%, reaching OMR678.1 million, compared to OMR572.7 million during the same period in 2025.

According to statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), the trading value of sale contracts amounted to OMR304.9 million across 15,895 sale contracts, marking a 0.5% increase in the number of contracts.

The trading value of mortgage contracts rose by 16.4%, reaching OMR369.3 million across 6,603 contracts by the end of March 2026, compared to OMR317.1 million across 5,344 contracts during the same period in 2025.

The trading value of property exchange contracts reached OMR3.9 million across 199 contracts by the end of March 2026, compared to OMR3.2 million across 354 contracts during the same period last year, achieving a 22.1% increase in value.

In terms of property ownership, the number of issued ownership title deeds recorded 45,789 by the end of March 2026, compared to 55,378 during the same period in 2025, reflecting a decline of 17.3%.

As for ownership deeds issued to nationals of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, 225 title deeds were recorded by the end of March 2026, compared to 416 deeds during the same period in 2025, marking a decrease of 45.9%.
