Ministry of Economy organises symposium on proactive monitoring system for regulatory bodies

Muscat: Represented by Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, the Ministry of Economy on Monday organised a symposium on the proactive monitoring system at regulatory bodies.

The symposium was held in cooperation with Al Sharqiyah University under the auspices of Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, Minister of Economy, and attended by specialists and representatives of government departments and private establishments and academic institutions.

Themed “Towards a smart regulatory system that enhances good governance”, the symposium aimed to provide the support to enable regulatory bodies to adopt advanced methods of proactive monitoring and analysis.

Such awareness contributes to enhancing preventive oversight, minimising risks, preserving national resources, consolidating the principles of transparency and integrity and enhancing public confidence in the efficiency of the national audit system, thereby meeting the objectives of the Oman Vision 2040.

In addition to members of regulatory bodies, the symposium addressed decision-makers, public and executive policymakers in government units and private sector establishments and personnel operating in the fields of internal auditing, risk management, performance monitoring, judicial and administrative inspection.
