Kuwait– The General Directorate of Civil Defence at the Ministry of Interior of Kuwait confirmed this morning that most of the drones approaching the country via the sea near the areas of Rumaithiya and Salwa were intercepted, with no injuries reported.
Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Civil Defense, stated in a press briefing that personnel of the Kuwait Air Defense Force successfully engaged a number of aerial targets at dawn with efficiency and competence.
He added that the Civil Defense Directorate received several reports from residents about hearing explosions in certain areas, clarifying that the sounds were the result of aerial interception operations.
Al-Mansouri further affirmed that Kuwait Air Force personnel maintain continuous monitoring and tracking of aerial targets before they enter Kuwaiti airspace.
