HM the Sultan receives credentials of Ambassadors

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received, separately, at Al Barakah Palace today, credentials of Ambassadors of several countries appointed to the Sultanate of Oman.

His Majesty the Sultan received credentials from the following ambassadors:

- Ahmed Mahmoud Ahmed Al Rowaidhi, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador by President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

- Majdi Ramadan, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador by President General Joseph Aoun of the Lebanese Republic, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

- Wijesinghe Arachchige De Alwis, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

- Noralyn Jubaira Baja, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador by President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. of the Republic of the Philippines, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

- Adam Bagoudou Zakari, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador by President Patrice Talon of the Republic of Benin, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

- Ricardo Silva-Santisteban Benza, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador by President José Jerí of the Republic of Peru, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

- Saimir Bala, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador by President Bajram Begaj of the Republic of Albania, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

- José Agüero Avila, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador by President Santiago Peña of the Republic of Paraguay, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

- Mohamed S. Barrie, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador by President Julius Maada Bio of the Republic of Sierra Leone, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

- Prof. Muktar Kedir Abdu, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador by President Taye Atske-Selassie of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

- Raymond Sarsero, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador by President Myriam Spiteri Debono of the Republic of Malta, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

- Isaac Biruma Sebulime, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador by President Yoweri Museveni of the Republic of Uganda, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

During their meetings with His Majesty the Sultan, the ambassadors conveyed greetings and best wishes of their countries' leaders to His Majesty. They emphasized their dedication to strengthening the relations of partnership and cooperation between their respective countries and the Sultanate of Oman across various fields, in a manner that meets the joint aspirations and serve mutual interests.

On his part, His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the ambassadors, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the leaders of their countries for their greetings and kind wishes. He assured them that they would receive all the support and assistance from His Majesty, the Government, and the Omani people, thereby enabling them to carry out their tasks.

The credentials presentation ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, the Foreign Minister, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman, the Head of Royal Protocols and the Military Aides to His Majesty the Sultan.
