In this role, Matthew is committed to enhancing the overall guest experience by curating exceptional dining moments that celebrate both local flavors and global food and beverage trends.
With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Matthew has worked across five continents, gaining valuable insights and knowledge from his hospitality journey. His impressive background includes significant positions with renowned international brands such as Fairmont, St. Regis, and The Ritz-Carlton, where he excelled in managing high-profile dining venues and leading successful events.
Matthew’s focus will be on creating memorable dining experiences that not only meet but exceed guest expectations. By implementing innovative concepts and engaging dining events, he aims to foster a vibrant food and beverage culture within the hotel and community.

Joining him is Ryan Cornelio, a seasoned commercial strategist who assumes the prestigious role of Commercial Director at InterContinental Muscat.
With a deep familiarity of Oman’s hospitality landscape and a wealth of experience across Asia and the Middle East, Ryan’s transformative leadership has consistently driven revenue growth, expanded market share, and enhanced brand visibility, all while cultivating inclusive and high-performing teams.
Throughout his illustrious career, Ryan has spearheaded high-achieving commercial teams in pivotal markets, including India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand, and Oman, through influential roles with distinguished brands such as Marriott International, Accor, IHHR Hospitality, and ONYX Hospitality Group.
