Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) participated in the Sports Delegation Managers Meeting for the 4th Gulf Sports Games through Bader bin Ali Awlad Thani, Chef de Mission of the Omani delegation. The meeting was held in Doha, Qatar, over the past two days (Sunday and Monday), as part of the ongoing preparations for the Games scheduled to take place from 11 to 22 May.

The meeting discussed the latest developments related to organizational preparations, including the readiness of the working committees, logistical coordination plans, and approved procedures at competition and training venues. It also reviewed the accreditation process and the issuance of identification cards for athletes and delegation officials.

In addition, the meeting addressed technical aspects related to competition schedules, athlete registration systems, and the allocation of teams across various sports venues. Participants exchanged views on potential challenges and ways to address them in accordance with the approved timeline.

The Gulf delegations conducted site visits to several sports venues designated to host the competitions to assess their readiness and compliance with hosting requirements, as well as to review the infrastructure and support services that will be provided to delegations and athletes during the Games.

The fourth edition of the Gulf Sports Games will feature the participation of more than 2,000 male and female athletes competing in 20 different sports, with competitions taking place across ten sports venues equipped in line with approved standards.
