Education Ministry marks graduation of 457 educational staff after strategic training programmes

Sohar: The Ministry of Education today celebrated the passing out of the 7th Batch of educational staff who completed "Strategic Programmes for Educational Institutions" in North Al Batinah Governorate.

The batch comprised 457 educational staff.

Mohammed bin Amer Al Rashidi, Assistant Director of the Evaluation and Accreditation Department at the Specialised Institute for Vocational Training of Teachers, spoke about a rise in the number of graduates from the institute’s strategic programmes. He pointed out that this increase reflects a keenness in professional development and that Monday’s ceremony is the culmination of a training course that saw the participation of teachers, supervisors and school principals in the North Al Batinah Governorate.

Al Rashidi explained that the participants were distributed to nine strategic programmes that contribute to enhancing the culture of effective educational leadership, consolidating the concepts of strategic planning and developing educational performance to ensure the sustainability and adaptability of the educational system.

For his part, Ali bin Said Al Maqbali, Head of the Technical Supervision Department at the Directorate General of Education in North Al Batinah Governorate, said that the strategic programmes offered by the institute seek to achieve a qualitative shift in educational practices. He explained that the course dealt with advanced school leadership programmes and the introduction of programmes for supervision experts and senior teachers.
