Muscat: Oman has released the official schedule of national and religious holidays for the year 2026, as confirmed by the Ministry of Labor.
National Holidays:
- Accession Day of His Majesty the Sultan: Thursday, January 15, 2026
- National Day: Wednesday and Thursday, November 25–26, 2026
Religious Holidays:
- Isra and Mi'raj: Sunday, January 18, 2026
- Islamic New Year: Thursday, June 18, 2026
- Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday: Thursday, August 27, 2026.
The Ministry of Labour emphasised that government departments and private sector institutions whose operations require continuous service must adhere to the holiday schedule and compensate employees accordingly, in line with existing regulations.
