Nizwa: Stanford University has added 21 researchers from the University of Nizwa to its list of top 2 percent of scientists worldwide for the year 2025.
Stanford list comprises the most influential researchers in various scientific fields, based on indices of research citations and the quality of publishing.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Al Harrasi, Vice Chancellor for Postgraduate Studies, Research and External Relations at the University of Nizwa, said, “Stanford University’s prestigious list is one of the most prominent international rankings that are based on precise criteria.”
He explained that the criteria include the number of scientific publications and the impact of such research and citations as evidenced by response from the scientists’ research communities.
He pointed out that the presence of 21 scientists from the University of Nizwa on the Stanford list constitutes the culmination of the university’s efforts to enhance the system of research and innovation and support researchers.
This, he said, contributed to upgrading the status of the University of Nizwa on the global scientific arena and reflects the excellence of competencies in various fields.
