Doha: The Oman national football team resumed training on Thursday evening under the leadership of Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz, in preparation for facing the UAE in the second round of Group A of the Asian play-offs for the 2026 World Cup.
The match will be held on Saturday, at 9:15 pm Oman time, at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium at Al Sadd Club.
The national team held its training session at Qatar University Stadium, focusing on recovery exercises for players who participated in the Qatar match, along with physical and technical training for the rest of the squad, with the aim of increasing readiness and improving tactical harmony between the lines.
The technical staff emphasized the importance of mental and physical focus during the current phase, emphasising that the upcoming match represents a pivotal milestone in the team's journey towards qualification.
