SAF Chief of Staff receives commander of GCC Unified Military Command

Muscat: Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF), received in his office at Al Murtafa’a Camp today Major General Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Balawi, Commander of the GCC Unified Military Command.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and discussed a number of topics that enhance joint GCC military cooperation.

Air Vice Marshal Khamis Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), also received Major General Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Balawi, Commander of the GCC Unified Military Command today at his office in Al Murtafa'a Camp. The two sides exchanged views and discussed several military topics of mutual interest.

Meanwhile, Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), received Major General Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Balawi today at his office in Al Murtafa'a Camp. During the meeting, they exchanged views and discussed a number of topics that will strengthen joint GCC military cooperation, particularly in the maritime fields.

As part of his visit, Major General Al Balawi, Commander of the GCC Unified Military Command, also visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC) today. He was received upon arrival by Commodore Adel Humood Al Busaidi, Head of the Maritime Security Centre.

During the visit, the Commander was briefed on the MSC's roles and efforts in maintaining the security and safety of the environment and navigation in Oman's maritime areas. He also toured the Centre's facilities and reviewed the modern technologies and systems it is equipped with.
